Standing on the site of the original Old Brewery, dating back to 1713, the Yard is a unique & iconic venue. The front of the building, once the Albert, is now a warm & welcoming space to meet. The washrooms on the lower floor are located in the original cellars, while the outside space is the original court yard where the casks were loaded onto horse-drawn drays.
Whilst maintaining it’s original brewery heritage and industrial feel, the Yard also benefits from a fresh, quirky and intriguing interior design scheme. It combines two ground floor bars areas for both casual drinks and dining, and a seating area for larger gatherings, plus intimate low lit booth areas in the first floor bar.
The Yard serves a £6 express lunch menu including homemade pie and a roast meat baguette served with onion gravy among classics such as fish and chips and ham, egg and chips. The evening menu includes dishes such as a Welsh Mixed Grill, Rump Steak & Carmarthenshire Gammon to name but a few.
The yard is the perfect choice for a glass of wine or locally brewed beer in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are all about music, with live bands and a DJ playing from 9pm till the early hours, and our late night bar 'Jam Jar' open till 3am serving premium drinks & cocktails.
The 1st floor of the Yard is perfect for all types of private functions and special occasions. With a range of buffets and drinks packages all requirements can be met. Log on to www.yardbarkitchen.co.uk for more details.
