The Plough Reopens


The Plough in Whitchurch has reopened after major refurbishment. The Brains-owned pub, in the heart of the Village, has seen a change in menu, decor, and will offer a wider selection of real ales.

Cardiff pub raises more than £12,000


Three cancer charities have benefitted from a mammoth fundraising exercise organised by a Cardiff pub landlord. The Three Horseshoes in Gabalfa, managed by Carl Stephens, raised a total of £12,326 which will be split between Cancer Research Wales, Velindre Hospital and George Thomas Hospice.

Olympic Torch Does a Brains Pub Relay!


From May 25th to May 27th, the Olympic Torch will pass several Brains pubs on its route around the UK.

We recently signed a new long-term partnership deal with independent food wholesaler Castell Howells Foods Ltd.

Historic Pub Saved for the Nation


The Vulcan closed today (Friday 4th May) and has been donated to St Fagans: National History Museum in order to preserve the building for the Nation.
