A major seven week refurbishment has transformed the former farmhouse on the outskirts of Cardiff.
The Ty Mawr has been traditionally styled with high quality fixtures and fittings. Externally the pub offers a new extended drinking and dining area, allowing customers to make the most of the stunning views over Cardiff and across the Severn estuary. In the vast gardens there’s a new feature pond and allotment, which will provide the pub kitchen with fresh vegetables.
A daily changing menu, which relies on locally sourced ingredients – some as local as the pub garden – and a wider range of cask ales have been introduced.
Philip Lay, retail director at Brains said: "We’ve had some great success investing in well-located sites, which has given us the confidence to continue with a programme of redevelopment.
"The Ty Mawr is in an exceptional location, boasting some of the best views over Cardiff, and the interior now matches the exterior in terms of appeal. Excellent customer service is at the heart of the offer, coupled with a fantastic food and drink offer."
