The evening of June 12th will see the Pendragon in Thornhill auction off some incredible prizes in aid of The Noah's Ark Appeal, as well as the pub’s in-house charity fund.
The event, headed by local Brian Crabbe and aided by landlord Lyndon Edwards and friend Phil Jones, will follow a day of fundraising activities to raise money for an "open" MRI scanner for the Children’s Hospital for Wales, of which The Noah's Ark Appeal is the official charity.
This pioneering new scanner will allow parents to lie beside their children during the traumatic experience of a scan. It also has lights and sounds making it extremely child-friendly. It will be only the second of its kind in Europe, and costs £1.5 million.
