Brains has been honoured with yet another accolade; this time from the ‘Oscars’ of the sponsorship world.
The Welsh pub company and brewer fought off strong competition to win the ‘Sponsorship Continuity Award’ at the Hollis Sponsorship Awards (30th March); winning out over B&Q, RBS, Aviva and SAP for its sponsorship of the Welsh Ruby Union (WRU). It means Brains now has two Hollis awards to its name, having won the ‘Brand Marketing Award’ in 2005.
Brains was in good company on the Hollis Sponsorship Awards winners list. Other category winners on the night included E.ON, Evian, Morrisons and Specsavers.
Richard Davies, Sales and Marketing Director at Brains said: "We are now five years in to our sponsorship agreement with the WRU and we are still picking up awards, which is a real credit to our Marketing team. Through creative, innovative and highly engaging marketing tactics we have been able to maximise the impact of the sponsorship, and in the process revitalise and reposition the Brains brand."
