The Old Brewey mashed its last beer in September 1999. But the buildings around it did not fall silent.

Brains acquires Crown Buckley of Llanelli Pontyclun.
1958
More than 50 years after it was launched, SA has become Wales' best loved beer.

Dark was the beer on which Brains was built.

With his Uncle Joseph Benjamin Brain, Samuel Arthur Brain buys the Old Brewery and Brains is founded.
