World Beer Awards

Our continental style Welsh beer was crowned the World’s Best Summer Ale at the World Beer Awards 2008. 45 beat off strong competition from hundreds of beers from the UK, Europe, the US, Australia and beyond, to take the title.

The international panel of judges at declared the light golden coloured beer to be the perfect ale to sup this summer.

Speaking of the award, Richard Davies, Sales and Marketing Director said:"We are thrilled that 45 has won such a high profile award, which demonstrates that regional family brewers can compete not only with the biggest and best in the UK but the world. It’s a fantastic endorsement for a beer which has only been around for a short time."
